在即将到来的2018-19财政年度,63,242纳税人将受益于低收入和中等收入税收减免;

我们支持Deakin选区中26,290名65岁以上的人及其家属过上更长寿,更快乐,更健康的生活;

一旦完全推出,NDIS(国家残疾人保险计划)将直接帮助迪肯选区的2,926人及其家属;

公立和私立学校的经费将大幅增加,与当前学年相比,地方公校与私校的经费增加了3,030万元;

确保2,453名儿童在上学前一年能够获得15个小时的优质早期学习;

What the Budget delivers for Deakin

This week’s Budget is about opportunity, security and fairness.

We're delivering a plan for a stronger economy to create jobs and guarantee the essential services that Australians rely upon.

I would like to share with you some key facts and figures about how Deakin will directly benefit from this year’s Budget:

1)63,242 taxpayers stand to benefit from the low and middle-income tax relief in the upcoming 2018-19 financial year;

2)On 2 July, our new child care system will come into place, with 5,921 local familiesstanding to benefit from our reforms;

3)Help 15,653 local businesses– with turnovers up to $50 million if they are incorporated, and up to $5 million if they are unincorporated, invest – employ and pay their workers more;

4)We are supporting the 26,290 people aged over 65 and their families in the electorate of Deakin to live longer, happier and healthier lives;

5)Once fully rolled out, the NDIS will directly help an estimated2,926 people and their families in the electorate of Deakin;

6)Government and Independent Schools funding will increase substantially, with funding rising by $30.3 millioncompared to the current school year for local Government and Independent schools;

7)We are ensuring that 2,453 children can access 15 hours of quality early learning in the year before school; and

8)$3 billion on the table for East West Link for any State Government that will build it.

I have also secured $1,562,613 to upgrade our roads and $150,000 for local community groups through round three of the Stronger Communities Grants Programme.

And finally, Deakin will also benefit from the Government's $1 billion urban congestion initiative and further Safer Communities Grant round which funds safety and security infrastructure

I look forward to continuing to work with you to fix our roads, upgrade community infrastructure, provide better care for our elderly and people with a disability, and support schools, families and businesses to help them get ahead.

Together, we will secure a better future for Deakin.

Best regards
